The latest Team Rocket Takeover is happening in Pokémon Go, and Sierra has a new roster of Pokémon. You can find her after you’ve collected a Rocket Radar by defeating Team Rocket Grunts and potentially challenging her at a Team Rocket PokéStop, or a Team Rocket Balloon. This guide covers Sierra’s Pokémon weaknesses and the best Pokémon to counter them in Pokémon Go for February 2023.
How to beat Rocket Leader Sierra
You will need to acquire a Rocket Radar to find Sierra. This means battling at least six Team Rocket Grunts to receive six Mysterious Components. Once you have all six, a Rocket Radar will be available that you can activate. You might not encounter her at a captured Team Rocket PokéStop; instead, you might find one of the two other leaders, Arlo or Cliff.
All of Sierra’s Pokémon in Pokémon Go
First Pokémon
The first Pokémon Sierra will use against you is Murkrow, a Dark and Flying-type Pokémon. Murkrow is weak against Electric, Fairy, Ice, and Rock-type moves. Of these options, the best choices are going to be Electric, Fairy, or Rock-type Pokémon that counter it. This should be the easiest battle for you to overcome, but Sierra still has two more Pokémon to use against you.
Second Pokémon
For Sierra’s second Pokémon, she can use a Staraptor, a Normal and Flying-type Pokémon. This is only one of three potential choices she might use against you. We’ll be updating this section once we have confirmed the other choices.
Third Pokémon
We are still attempting to confirm Sierra’s third and final Pokémon and what they could be.
After defeating Sierra, you’ll have the chance to capture a shadow Murkrow. There is a chance for you to catch a shiny version of this Pokémon.
