The city of New Rome faces a duel between the talented artist Caesar Catiline and the greedy mayor Franklin Cicero for a utopian future. Pre-production began in 2001 after 30 hours of second-unit footage and desk holding with Paul Newman, Uma Thurman, Robert De Niro, James Gandolfini, Nicolas Cage, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Eddie Falco and Kevin Spacey. The project was scrapped after the September 11 attacks, because a scene in the script (p. 166) was "prophetic" attacks Coppola abandoned the project entirely in 2007, and didn’t begin redeveloping it until 2019..

My Pledge was written by Grace VanderWaal This movie reminded me of The Room and Adam Driver’s performance was more like Tommy Wiseau. Cringe dialogue and bad writing that he couldn’t fake it. Since this was filmed during the pandemic, I wonder if they met before the show or were zoomed out. Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel and Aubrey Plaza all receive Razzie Award nominations and I bet you even win.
This was pretentious, shallow and a waste of money
I have never been so "talented" A pool of actors who embarrass themselves and don’t have enough self-awareness to make us question whether they’re really that good. I walked out before the end because I couldn’t take the bad dialogue, it was like the actors were talking to a wall, having learned their lines 5 minutes before. That opening Hamlet speech is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. The cinematography looked like an edited TV movie in 2003 Windows 95.
