Andy Serkis was interested in returning to directing after his role in Venom 2 (2021), but was unable to do so due to his commitments to Animal Farm (2025) (which he had previously postponed to direct the first), so screenwriter Kelly Marcel took over the directorship of this film. In an establishing shot of Las Vegas, you can see the Sphere, a structure completed and open in 2023. However, in the film, Eddie mentions that he and Venom were together for one year.

The first Venom movie was set in 2018, so this movie takes place in 2019, 4 years before the Sphere existed.. Venom: Eddie… Featured on The 7PM Project: Episode of October 25, 2024 (2024).
CGI was good, I couldn’t find any disturbing point
Maybe it’s just because of my low expectations for the series, but it was just fun to watch. I have already given up hope that the trilogy will have a decent plot, but I can say that this one has a better plot than the second movie. It was interesting to see the other symbiotes as well.

I think these new symbiotes showed more action scenes as symbiotes than venom when it comes to the fight ironically. There were a few funny jokes that made me laugh, but I really didn’t find Eddie’s weird obsession with shoes funny, like it was supposed to be funny? I guess it was supposed to be humor, but well…it was almost tiresome.
